Dear Choir and Band Parents,
Are you humming the tunes your kids are practicing around the house? Me neither!
We’d like to invite all band & choir parents to join us at Las Palmas on Thursday, November 15 at 7:30 for a meeting to discuss booster news and plans for the Silver Anniversary Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction. No, we don’t pay your bill, but we’ll probably make you laugh, and it’s an excuse to get your partner to put the kids to bed!
Some exciting news – West Oak Music Boosters is officially a 501(3)(c)!! “Why is that exciting?” you ask? It means that all cash donations are tax deductible! As the year is drawing to a close, if you feel you’d like to make some charitable donations, please consider your child’s music program! Along with a thank you note, you’ll receive a receipt to include with your taxes.
Want more excitement? The Kirk Players made a generous donation to the Music Boosters, allowing Mrs. Blanchard, Mr. Harshey and Mrs. Saam to purchase a projector which they will use with students to evaluate performances, view professionals and work on their own musical talents.

Monday, November 19 – Wreath sale pickup at West Oak
Tuesday, December 4 – 7pm Band Concert at West Oak
Thursday, December 6 – 7pm Choir Concert at West Oak
Friday, December 7 – 6:30pm WO Choir performs at the PTO Barnes & Noble fundraiser at Hawthorn
Saturday, February 2 – THE EVENT OF THE YEAR! 25th Annual West Oak Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction!
A last bit of news – drum roll, please. Rick Allen has taken over the position of treasurer from Jennifer Rath, our seven year retiring veteran.
